I like Gaganendranath Tagore (1867-1938) very much because his originality of conception and execution of many themes in different styles. His open attitude towards experimenting with Japanese and modern western art, from futurism and cubism to the ideas of German expressionism and his caricature albums reflecting social and religious hypocrisies of his times, mark him as a pioneer in this field.

PDF makes life easier, but the viewer sometimes make it hard to read in shorten time!

Not all computer has Acrobat Reader or other PDF viewer Installed. The size of Acrobat Reader not that small, even it’s loading time kind a slow, the splash screen somewhat annoying! Though I can’t remove Acrobat Reader from my required software list, but Foxit Reader helps a lot.

‘মাটির ময়না’-র DVD ভার্সন বের হয়েছে ১৬ই এপ্রিল, ২০০৫-এ। এটা বাংলাদেশে প্রথম রিলিজ পেয়েছিল ২০০৩ সালে। কিন্তু মজার ব্যাপার হল ‘মাটির ময়না’, “Cannas Film Festival, FIPRESCI International Critics’ Prize for Best Film” পুরষ্কার জেতে ২০০২ সালে। এর কারণ আমাদের মহামতি ‘সেন্সর বোর্ড’। তেনারা ইহাকে সেন্সর সার্টিফিকেট দেন নাই। কারণ হিসাবে বলা হয়, “ধর্মীয় স্পর্শকাতরতা”। পরে এ নিয়ে পিটিশন হয় এবং আদালতের অনুকূল রায় পেয়ে ‘মাটির ময়না’ মুক্তি পায়?
